Quickly Cut Pipes

CNC Plasma Pipe Cut PartsRotary Tube Pro, from Hypertherm, is a comprehensive software solution for designing and cutting tube and pipe parts. Tubes and branches are easily created using parametric input. There is no 3-D CAD experience required. Sidewall cuts can be selected from a list of predefined shapes or added from CAD. If needed, you can also import 3-D CAD files for highly customized pipe cuts. The flexibility provided by Rotary Tube Pro allows fabricators and manufacturers the ability to work efficiently, reducing costs and boosting productivity.

Rotary Tube Pro displays 3-D renderings of the parts being programmed. This allows you to view end types, hole locations, and other features. The 3-D rendering display allows you to visually confirm the accuracy of the part that’s being programmed. Both main and branch pipes are shown to aid in pipe fit-up.

Rotary Tube Pro software enables you to cut a variety of parts including straight, miter, cope, offset cope, slotted straight, and slotted round end pipe cuts. It also allows you to easily cut notch, saddle, offset saddle, and angled saddle branch cuts.

Precise and Quality Cuts

The ROTO HORNET 1000’s lifter sets the initial pierce height and maintains torch-to-pipe height during the cutting process via voltage regulation. This maintains optimum precision and quality for your cut parts.

Hypertherm’s HyPerformance plasma systems provide the highest quality and most precise plasma cutting in the industry.

The manual bevel attachment facilitates the cutting of weld preps on the ends of the pipe.

Unique Headstock Design

The ROTO HORNET 1000 has a unique headstock design. The adjustable three-jaw chuck allows pipe to easily be aligned and centered for cutting. The thermal cutting emissions are exhausted through the chuck and headstock to an industrial-grade fume extraction system. This unique design maximizes productivity and maintains a clean and safe work environment.

The ROTO HORNET 1000 was designed with dust collection in mind. Hornet Cutting Systems and RoboVent deliver complete systems. Together we design, build, install, and maintain systems to provide the convenience and control of a one-stop source. Hornet Cutting Systems contracts with RoboVent to do the collector installation to ensure it’s done right.

Operator Station

CNC Plasma Pipe Cutter Operator StationThe ROTO HORNET 1000 CNC plasma pipe cutting machine remote operator station includes a 15” LCD touch-screen monitor, industrial keyboard, mouse, and E-Stop button. If needed, the operator station also includes dust collector Start/Stop buttons.

Rotary Tube Pro is parametric pipe cutting software for making basic pipe cuts on Hornet Cutting Systems ROTO HORNET pipe cutting machines. The parametric library includes shapes for miters, copes, saddles, hillsides and more. The software can be used to program pipe parts on the CNC by the operator or in the office by a programmer. Additionally, standard and custom cut charts can be loaded into the software for ultimate flexibility and ease of use.

Remote help allows operators to connect to Hornet Cutting Systems’ technical support via the internet in less than a minute from the convenience of the operator station. With the remote help feature, Hornet Cutting Systems technicians can virtually review settings, review setups, review part programs, perform software updates, perform HPRXD diagnostics, provide technical training, and observe CNC screens while running the machine.
