Service Technician

Houston/Dallas, Atlanta, and Milwaukee Areas

Primary Purpose of Job

Installing, maintaining and repairing machines and machine parts, ensuring machines work optimally and conduct training on machines. Travel time up to 75%.

Major Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of machine and machine components
  • Testing machines and troubleshooting in case of problems
  • Assembling machines at end user factory
  • Training of machine operators and other factory personnel
  • Provide technical support of machines via phone, email, etc.
  • Assisting factory personnel with machine building process from machine build plans and electrical schematics
  • Assisting factory personnel with fabrication of machine components including welding and soldering
  • Recording the performance of each machine with regard to intake and output and present it to management
  • Suggest ways to improve the performance of machines
  • Maintenance of the equipment required for installation and repair of machines
  • Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements. Work will regularly need to be performed outside of the assigned start and end times
  • All other projects as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical principles
  • Knowledge of installation and repair of machines and correct tool usage to include meters and other devices to measure accuracy
  • Knowledge of permissible standards to be maintained for machines
  • Ability to analyze, identify and rectify the problem
  • Knowledge of safety precautions while working with machines
  • Excellent verbal skills and ability to train others
  • 2+ years experience in field
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. passport
